We sourced this tourmaline during our trip to a stone show in Tucson, choosing it for its vivid natural gradient that ranges from a cool teal to a soft purplish pink. Its horizontal shape highlights the color shift, giving the stone a balanced, grounded presence. Tourmaline is one of the most chemically complex gemstones, and its colors form from shifts in trace elements during growth, with iron creating blue greens and manganese bringing out the pink. This stone carries those transitions clearly, with visible inclusions that show the way it formed deep within the earth. Across cultures, tourmaline has been seen as a protective stone that creates boundaries, grounding energy, and brings a steady sense of stability. The 14K gold ends are bordered with diamonds and finished with a carved floral detail that softens the stone’s strong lines, creating a refined contrast against its organic texture.
