Overview:
Finely detailed Victorian pendant (circa 1880s to 1900s) crafted in 18 karat yellow gold.
Small approx. 1mm seed pearls are set into the locket.
A hand painted portrait of a woman adorns the center of the locket, framed with a wreath pattern and seed pearl stations. The locket opens to accommodate a photo or keepsake. The interior of the locket is engraved “Florence”. The locket was popular during the Victorian era when a memento was placed inside to memorialize a loved one. Crafted in 18k yellow gold the locket is larger in scale at 2 x 1 inches (including the bale). The bale measures 5mm wide and can accommodate a thick chain if desired.
The pendant is in good original condition showing internal wear. Half of a small metal frame has separated from the back of the portrait. Small indentations are visible to the back of the locket.

Stones: Small approx. 1mm seed pearls are set into the locket.
Size & Measurements: The pendant measures 2 x 1 inches (including the bale).
Metal & Hallmark: 18 karat yellow gold. The pendant is not hallmarked though it has tested positive for 18 karat gold. An additional bale (14k) was added to the locket at a later time (can be removed if desired).
